Greece

With its mild weather, Mediterranean scenery, rich history and world-renowned landmarks, Greece is a tourist paradise for cyclists. Cycle tourism has been growing significantly over the past few years and the increasing demand has led to a development in the related services.

Cycle Routes

Although the 3 EuroVelo routes that cross Greece are not officially realised yet, rural roads provide great opportunities for cycle touring, as the roads are mostly deserted. Furthermore, more and more cities are building cycle paths and operating public bike-sharing schemes.

Cycle friendly services

Cyclists Welcome Hellas is the official cycle friendly services network in Greece. Many service providers propose dedicated services to cyclists, such as accommodation, food, bike rental and repair shops. More information on http://cyclistswelcome.blogspot.gr/
