With a national network of cycling routes extending over 600 km already and projected to grow substantially in the coming years, a splendid nature, its UNESCO World Heritage capital city and high quality touristic infrastructures throughout the country, the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg is an ideal destination for cycling tours.

Lëtzebuerger Vëlos-Initiativ

A not-for-profit organization which aims to promote cycling and which is overseeing the development of the EuroVelo network in Luxembourg. On this page you will find a more in-depth description of the EuroVelo 5 route in Luxembourg with links to all relevant websites and information.

Cycle Routes

The national network currently counts around 600 km of cycle paths divided between 21 different routes, with many more to come in the course of the network's planned extension to 1400 km in the coming years. This is further supplemented by regional and local cycle paths as well as an abundance of dedicated mountain bike trails (>500 km).

Cycle friendly services

Luxembourg uses the ADFC's bed+bike label, nowadays encompassing a network of 83 certified cycle friendly accomodation (and restauration) providers spanning the whole country.

Maps and guides are available for purchase through the national coordinator, Lëtzebuerger Vëlos-Initiativ, as well as in various libraries around the country.
