Sometimes it feels like the North Sea wind pushes you all the way along this flat route from the Dutch border to the border with France! EuroVelo 12 allows you to explore the Flemish coastline. The route passes through the Zwin nature park in Knokke-Heist, also known as ‘the international bird airport’. It then continues to Oostende, known for its long beach and promenade. Finally, it takes you to Nieuwpoort, where you can visit the King Albert Monument and learn about the 1914 Battle of the Yser.
