In Denmark the North Sea Cycle Route follows National Cycle Route no. 1 from the German border in the south to Skagen in the north, a total of 550 km. This part of the North Sea Cycle Route has been classified as a three-star route by the ADFC in 2014. From Skagen the route follows National Cycle Route no. 5 for 229 km to Grenaa where you can catch a ferry to Sweden.
