The route follows the river Ohre from Cheb to the world famous spa Karlovy Vary. Then it follows the Berounka-Střela greenway through the Křivoklátsko protected landscape area and passed the medieval castle Karlštejn to the conflunce with the Vltava in Prague. The route runs through Prague, passed center it turns to the East and joins the Elbe trail and follows the Elbe to Kolin. After the UNESCO site of Kutná Hora it continues to the hillier Bohemian Highlands to South Moravia and its capital, Brno, which is another UNESCO heritage site. The route goes through the famous battle field of Austerlitz and than joins the Morava river trail through the Moravian Slovakia region. Your next stop will be another UNESCO site Kroměříž. Near Ostrava with industrial monuments you will reach the Polish border.

The EuroVelo 4 route follows first in Czechia www.czechtourism.com the river trail Ohře/Eger www.cykloohre.cz   from German border to mediaval Cheb/Eger  to the world famous spa Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad Region www.zivykraj.cz ) in some spectacular nature settings lined up with castles (Loket). Later it follows the Berounka-Střela greenway www.greenways.cz  through the Křivoklátsko protected landscape area to Beroun. From here the route (Paneuropean route www.paneuropa-radweg.de ) follows river Berounka and passes the medieval castle Karlštejn until it reaches the conflunce with the Vltava/Moldau www.vltavska-cyklostezka.cz in Prague www.prague.eu . The route runs through the historic center of Prague with the Prague castle panorama and turns East to soon join the Labe/Elbe cycle routel www.labska-stezka.cz and follows the Elbe through Central Bohemia www.middlechech.cz  to Kolin. After the UNESCO site of Kutná Hora www.kutnahora.cz  it continues to the hillier Bohemian Highlands www.region-vysocina.cz . Near Bystřice p.P.one can visit a pearl of gothic architecture, castle Pernštejn and to gothic monastery Porta Coeli in Předklášteří . Further on along the Brno water reservoir on river Svratka you are entering the wine region of South Moravia www.cyklo-jizni-morava.cz  and its capital, Brno www.brno.cz , which is another UNESCO heritage site (Villa Tugendhat). The route goes through the famous battle field of Austerlitz www.austerlitz.org  and then joins the Morava river trail www.moravska-stezka.cz (along the Bata water canal www.batacanal.cz ) through the Moravian Slovakia region www.slovacko.cz  with rich cultural traditions (Open air museum Strážnice). Your next stop will be another UNESCO site-gardens of  Kroměříž www.kromeriz.eu . Near Ostrava with industrial monuments www.ostrava.cz you will reach the Polish border near Bohumín.
