EuroVelo 7 goes down the length of Sweden to Malmö, from where a ferry can take you to Denmark. From the border with Finland, the route turns south to reach the Swedish eastern coastline at Luleå, a coastal city in Swedish Lapland. Then it goes down along the Gulf of Bothnia, until reaching the rather large city of Sundsvall. Then EuroVelo 7 continues towards the south-west, crossing the country from the eastern to the western coast and joining Kattegattleden, Sweden’s first national bicycle route in Gothenburg. This 395 km long bicycle route with a unique, oceanside location, goes from Gothenburg to Helsingborg.
