It was a memorable, if rather wet, summer and he subsequently wrote the popular travelogue 'Crossing Europe on a Bike Called Reggie'. Now the book is also available in Italian and we like to share the introduction and a nice extract from his day in Pisa with you (in Italian).

In the meantime, the “Laufmaschine” has developed into a modern bicycle and has become a vital everyday mode of transportation for many people around the world. To celebrate this anniversary, many events will take place along the Rhine Cycle Route in 2017, especially in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the birth place of the bicycle.
